[6.2.23 4:38p] Championship Weekend is here…and it’s HOT
First and foremost, please make sure to stay hydrated – especially teams playing on the turf fields at Warren this weekend. It gets hot quicker on those fields.
Make sure you’ve joined the appropriate BAND group (links below) to receive Cup alerts and view the reminders we sent out on Thursday.

It’s State Cup time!
Schedules and Field Maps
The schedules and field maps can be found on the State Cup page of our website. We will also add the maps in the images (albums) to the BAND group this week.
Weather Alerts and Field Changes
We will use BAND as our primary source for notifications during the event.
If you hear a long air horn sound during play, please clear the fields and head to your vehicles. We will sound another long air horn for the All Clear notice.
VOA Parking Permits
Both the Butler Warren and Cox Rd entrances can be used for entry into VOA this weekend. Event parking permits are required for VOA and can be purchased by cash or credit card. The cost is $8.00/day or $20.00 for the weekend. The line can get backed up so please allow at least an extra 15 minutes to get to your field.
Paperwork/What to Bring
Teams will need to have their physical player and coach cards for every player and every coach at each game. OSA will print and provide the game cards to the referees. We will also collect the game cards from the referees after the game and post the scores online.
Referee Fees
OSA pays the referee fees for your Round Robin and Semis/Finals games, so you do not need to bring ref fees.
Jersey Numbers
Two players cannot have the same jersey number who are game active in the same match.
Max Game Active Players
Please note that the maximum number of players who can be game active for 9v9 games is 16. For 11v11 games, the max number of game active is 18. Additional players on the event roster can be on the sideline but cannot be dressed to play.
Looking Ahead (if your team advances to the semis/finals weekend)
For head coaches who have multiple teams that advance to the Semis weekend, please send an email by no later than Tuesday morning, 5/30 at 9am to office@ohio-soccer.org with each gender, age group and team name you coach.
We want to get the schedule posted as soon as possible for everyone’s planning purposes. We will do our best to schedule your games at different time slots as long as we have the info by Tuesday at 9am. If you are also the head coach of a Presidents Cup team who made it to the Semis/Finals weekend, please include that info as well.

Warrior only: For the 11a and 12:30p games, the following field changes will be made:
- Field 1 will move to Field 11
- Field 9 will move to Field 12
All other games are on as scheduled for 11a and beyond pending unforeseen weather conditions. We will reassess the fields for 2p kickoff.

If you want to receive weather and schedule updates for Presidents Cup, make sure you have signed up for BAND! All updates will be communicated there first. Sunday is already looking a little dodgy…

The North and South office will be closed Friday May 5th, 19th, 26th, and June 2nd. Our office will open at 10am on the Mondays after our events.

Field Maps
Addresses and field maps are posted on the Presidents Cup page of our website. Please note that pets are not allowed around the soccer complex during OSA events.
Warrior Field Changes
We did have to make two (2) field number changes at Warrior. The schedules were updated yesterday. If you originally had a game at Warrior on Field 1 or 21, the field number changed, but all times remain the same. Please re-check the schedule.
VOA Parking Permits and Park Entrance
VOA charges entry into their soccer complex. Please note they now charge per event and not per year. The cost for this weekend is $8.00/day or $15 for the weekend. You can pay cash or charge upon arrival. Please note that you will only be able to enter through the Cox Road entrance. Allow at least 15 extra minutes to get through the parking line. Butler Warren will not be open for entry into the complex. They will open it for exit only after the first round of games.
Weather
All weather and field changes will be communicated through BAND. If you hear an air horn, please clear the fields and head to your cars.
Jerseys and Uniforms
Every player who is game active on your team must have a different jersey number. The home team should wear light jerseys and the away team should wear dark jerseys. Matching shorts are not required. If there is a sock color conflict, the home team must change. If there is a jersey color conflict, the team causing the conflict must change. The referee’s decision is final. Reminder, teams are required to bring both color uniforms and socks to all matches.
Taping
Athletic Trainers will be onsite who can tape as time allows around any field calls. Players must bring their own tape.
