Member Spotlight: Centerville Recreational Soccer

In our latest Member Spotlight, we’re taking a closer look at Centerville Recreational Soccer.

Centerville Rec celebrated its 51st year of operation this year. Formed in 1971 in Centerville, Ohio (just south of Dayton), it is one of the longest-standing recreational leagues in the state. The league welcomes players from Centerville and the surrounding areas.

We caught up with Christina Frost, the league director, to find out more.

  • What kinds of programs do you offer?

We are a recreational soccer club that provides rec soccer to everyone from age 3 through adult. We have a regular program that plays through the week and on Saturdays, as well as high school and adult programs that play on Sunday afternoons. Our games and events take place at Oak Grove Park on East Social Row Road.

  • What values does your organization have?

We are a family-oriented organization that provides a program for everyone in the south Dayton area. We have consistently operated in this area for 51 years. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have with our families. We have gotten to know many families over the years whose children grow up in our program.

  • Why is CRS a member of OSA?

We are one of the largest recreational soccer leagues in the area, and OSA has been a great support to our league for many years.

  • What other information you would like people to know?

Centerville Rec Soccer provides fall, spring, and indoor futsal and summer camps throughout the year to keep players engaged and involved in soccer. Centerville Rec Soccer is a non-profit organization, completely volunteer operated by our board. The coaches all volunteer their time to keep engaged with teams, and help keep things moving forward. We hold refs training twice a year, to engage our youth (13+), and let them earn money in their first real jobs with people they know.
