Pickerington Area Soccer Association (PASA) is celebrating 52 years of soccer in 2025!
Founded in 1973, it is one of the original recreational leagues in the greater Columbus area. PASA welcomes players from Pickerington and all surrounding areas.
We decided to have a chat with them to find out more about where the league is headed!
So, tell us about the league.
PASA is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing the game to Pickerington area children! Our community loves the game. Last season, we helped over 900 children play soccer!
We take great pride in our facility. A new parking lot addition was completed in the Fall 2024, which has been a huge help during gamedays. We proudly own our fields and work hard to ensure they are fit for each season. Our funding is limited to league fees, donations, and sponsorships. PASA sponsors play a big role in our soccer community.
PASA works hard to stay engaged in our community. We enjoy participating in local parades and other community events – and our athletes love it too!
What kinds of programs do you offer?
PASA offers recreational programs from Timbits (2.5 yrs) through Adult League (18+ yrs). All youth games (U4 thru U12) are played on the weekends. Middle School and High School games are played throughout the week and on weekends. Adult League games are played during the week.
Friday Night Skills is a one-of-a-kind program offered at PASA. It is a free training session on Friday evenings. It is open to U6 through U10 players rostered to our recreational league. These sessions are run by our partners at Club Ohio East.
The PASA Cup, an end of Spring season tournament, is included for all U8 through U12 rec teams. The Fall Festival tournament is open to the top 4 teams in the U8 through U12 rec teams. All-Star games are very popular for our U8 through U10 rec teams in June. Summer camps and Winter Indoor training sessions are also available.
What values does your organization have?
PASA is a family-oriented and community-based organization. All players are welcome regardless of their skill level. We strive to instill a love of the game for all participants. Sportsmanship and teamwork are a main focus in our organization. We also have amazing volunteers! Our volunteers are ordinary people that step up and do extraordinary things for the youth in our community.
Why is PASA a member of OSA?
OSA provides a wonderful support system for PASA. The OSA staff are always available for any questions or needed assistance. OSA is a great resource. All PASA volunteers are required to complete Risk Management training, which keeps us compliant with State and Federal mandates for youth sports. OSA handles all this training.
Come and be a part of the PASA soccer family! Spring registration is currently open. Visit pasasoccer.org for more information.
