Two Ohio Teams Crowned National Champions

ORLANDO, Florida (July 28, 2025) – The 2025 US Youth Soccer National Championships came to a close on Sunday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, where two Ohio teams won national titles and two others finished as national finalists.

Columbus United took home both titles, with the G11 (U14) and G10 Lions (U15) marching all the way to victory. The G10 Lions secured their second national title in three years, marking an unmistakable dynasty for the club.

“Sunday capped off an amazing year for both our G11 and G10’s. After last year’s heartbreaking loss in the finals for both teams, they were determined to get back to this stage and win it all,” said Simon Davis, Columbus United Director. “The feeling felt by all players, coaches, and families at the final whistle(s) was just incredible. I couldn’t be more proud of both teams and their coaches. Everyone’s hard work and sacrifice to reach the top has paid off. The success of both teams this week has fueled their hunger for more.”

All told, thirteen teams from seven clubs attended the National Championships where they faces teams from around the nation. Five of them reached the semifinals, with four progressing to the finals. Only Michigan had more teams reach the semifinals.
