Volunteers needed at annual TOPSoccer Fall Festival

Help others enjoy the beautiful game

Each October, a large gathering of TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) players from across the Midwest converge on Mason, OH in what is the highlight of their soccer season. This October will be the 24th edition of the Cincinnati TOPSoccer Fall Classic – truly a tradition like no other. Along with the soccer is a festival of fun for these players, with a Grand Parade to kick off the day, appearances from the likes of Spiderman, Elsa, and other heroes, food, raffles, blow-up soccer dart boards and bounce houses, and much, much more!

The theme for the Fall Classic this year is ‘Seas the Day’, and Cincinnati TOPSoccer is in desperate need for volunteers to help them seize the day and successfully pull off a wonderful event for these players

Ohio Soccer Association is proud to work alongside Cincinnati TOPSoccer to help continue to provide the game to all kids.

We believe that TOPSoccer is not only a great opportunity for the players, but also for the community. This is where you come in.

The Fall Festival will take place at Hope Church in Mason on October 8, from 10a-3p. If you or your team, coaches, parents, staff, and anyone else who would like to help can donate some of their time to help provide these athletes with a wonderful experience, we know that you’ll help make big smiles for kids with big hearts – and you’ll come away with a full heart too!

What is needed

In order to make this event a memorable experience for over 300 special athletes and their families, the following is needed:

  • Volunteers for concessions, inflatables, carnival games, first aid, information, parking, referees, setup/cleanup, etc. (2, 3, & 4 hours shifts available)
  • General raffle items such as gift cards, event tickets, theme baskets for kids, teens, or adults
  • Donations toward the purchase of baskets if you don’t have time to shop
  • Food items for the Volunteer Hospitality Suite (drop off Friday night or Saturday morning)
  • Monetary donations to help cover the increasing cost of this event
    • Cincinnati TOPSoccer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization relying on player registration fees and donations to cover the cost of three seasons in addition to the largest special needs soccer tournament in the country.
    • No paid staff.
    • All donations are tax deductible.
    • Every dollar funds operating costs of the league/event.

To help with advanced preparation for the raffle, please contact Lisa Corey no later than October 5th at Lisa@cincytopsoccer.com with a brief description and retail value or your raffle donation, and also indicate if you are donating to the player or general raffle.

**For questions about the raffle or to have a Super Shopper make your purchase for you, contact Lisa Corey at Lisa@cincytopsoccer.com or Randy Corey at Randy@cincytopsoccer.com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping make this a special day for these athletes!

Sincerely,
Ohio Soccer Association
