MAINEVILLE, Ohio (February 10, 2023) – Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is excited to announce the addition of the East Suburban Soccer League (ESSL), one of the largest grassroots leagues in the Toledo area, as a new member.
ESSL holds a fall and spring season with member communities from:
- Eastwood Youth Soccer Association
- Genoa Area Rec Soccer
- Gibsonburg Soccer
- Lake Soccer Club
- Northwood Soccer Club
- Oak Harbor Soccer
- Old Fort Soccer Association
- Oregon Rec Soccer
- Otsego Soccer
- Port Clinton Soccer Club
- Rossford Rec Soccer
- Tiffin Soccer Club
- Woodmore Soccer
“We are thrilled to be part of the OSA family,” says ESSL and Lake Soccer Club President, Rob Solomon. “We were impressed with the level of support OSA can offer its members, particularly with our risk management and coaching needs. We are a growing league with a dedicated group of volunteers, and we felt OSA was the best partner going forward to help us navigate the logistical, legal, and retention challenges facing everyone in the youth sports environment.”
ESSL is entirely volunteer-based and provides grassroots soccer to children of any skill level, emphasizing the desire to play soccer “for the fun of it.” The league also encourages good sportsmanship from all participants, including parents. The league has been in operation for over 25 years.
