Three Ohio residents receive US Youth Soccer national recognition

National recognition for TOPSoccer Coach of the Year, Goal of the Year, and Save of the Year.

MAINEVILLE, Ohio (Jan. 25, 2022) —Three Ohio residents have received national recognition from US Youth Soccer (USYS).

Steve McCollum was awarded the National TOPSoccer Coach of the Year by USYS for his work and dedication to the Cincinnati TOPSoccer program. TOPSoccer is a soccer-specific program for youth and children with special needs, affording them an opportunity to play the sport, make friends, and have fun. Ohio has 11 TOPSoccer programs spread throughout the state, each operating independently as a member organization of Ohio Soccer Association. TOPSoccer programs rely heavily on volunteer coaches and ‘buddies’ – youth or adults who attend practice and games with players to offer friendship and support.
