Ohio Selected to Host 2023 US Youth Soccer Midwest Presidents Cup

Ohio Soccer Association is proud to announce it will host the 2023 US Youth Soccer Midwest Presidents Cup, a separate series of events from the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series. The regional event will be held at Voice of America (VOA) Park in West Chester, OH from June 16 – June 20, 2023. Ohio last hosted the event in 2021 at the same location.

Earlier this year, and working together with the Butler County Visitors Bureau, OSA submitted a bid to host the regional competition for a third time. Delegates from US Youth Soccer then visited the host site as discussions took place relating to the logistics of the competition.

“We are excited to return to West Chester for the 2023 Midwest Presidents Cup,” said Midwest Presidents Cup Chair Jen Fickett. “Hosting the event in West Chester Township and the surrounding areas provides teams with a quality experience on and off the field. We look forward to working with the OSA, the Butler County Visitors Bureau, and local volunteers as they prepare to once again host an exceptional event.”

“We are thrilled as a State Association to host the Midwest Presidents Cup again,” said Gordon Henderson, OSA Executive Director. “I think it is a tremendous opportunity for Ohio teams to experience such a major event on home soil, but also a wonderful chance for the Butler County Visitors Bureau and the local communities to show what a top-class event we can put on. We look forward to welcoming all teams and visitors to Ohio.”

The Ohio Presidents Cup – a qualifier for the Midwest Presidents Cup regional competition – has seen large growth over recent years. Teams who enter participate in an exciting and competitive competition with potential regional and national opportunities, should their team progress.

For teams from Ohio, the 2023 Ohio Presidents Cup registration will open in October.

The Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

US Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup events (East, South, Midwest, Far West) will determine the teams that will compete in the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup. Regional winners in the 13U through 19U groups, both boys and girls, will vie for the national title.

The National Presidents Cup will take place from July 7-12 in Wichita, KS.
