MAINEVILLE, Ohio (December 8, 2023) – Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is excited to welcome Cheryl Ficco as a new staff member. Ficco will focus primarily on Grassroots Member Services support, OSA Club v Club league administration, and new OSA member onboarding.
“As we continue to grow and expand, especially amongst our grassroots membership, Cheryl will be a major asset in the coming seasons,” said Gordon Henderson, OSA CEO. “She brings years of experience in our sport and is already familiar with the landscape of youth soccer in Ohio. She is a great addition to our Member Services team.”
Ficco has coached high school soccer for West Branch High School in Beloit for the past seven (7) seasons. Prior to that, she was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Mount Union and was the Soccer Operations Coordinator at the University of Miami (FL). She holds an MBA from the University of Florida. Ficco also holds a U.S. Soccer D license.
She enjoys trail hiking, snow skiing, and reading. She resides in Bath Township with her husband, their two (2) school-age boys, a cat named Greybo, and an energetic German Shepherd named Betty.
“I am looking forward to joining OSA as part of the Member Services team,” says Ficco. “I love soccer and have been involved in almost all aspects as either a coach, player, or administrator, whether it be grassroots, travel (club), ODP, high school and college. It is an exciting time to be a part of OSA and I am looking forward to helping support and grow youth soccer in Ohio!”
Cheryl began her position at OSA on November 28.
