OSA Welcomes Lori Williams to Board of Directors

MAINEVILLE, Ohio (August 14, 2023) – Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is excited to welcome Lori Williams as the newest addition to its Board of Directors. Williams, who resides in the greater Toledo area, will fill the vacant District I Representative seat.

“Lori is a strong addition to our Board,” said Gordon Henderson, OSA CEO. “She brings over twenty years of experience in our sport and her work in the education sector with youth and parents is something we are keen to utilize. We are excited to work with her.”

Williams is currently the Assistant Principal at Anthony Wayne Junior High School, where she is also the varsity soccer coach. She holds a Master of Education from Bowling Green State University as well as a Gifted Endorsement by the Ohio Department of Education.

Additionally, Williams is a student of the game. She has obtained several coaching licenses, including a National Youth License from U.S. Soccer, a UEFA C License, and a Master Coach & Leadership Diploma from United Soccer Coaches. She has coached teams at local youth club Anthony Wayne United since 2003.

“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to join the Ohio Soccer Association Board of Directors,” says Williams. “I’m eager to contribute my enthusiasm for working with youth soccer and am dedicated to growing this great game. I look forward to collaborating with fellow board members to develop initiatives that promote an inclusive and supportive soccer community in Ohio. With a focus on teamwork and communication, I hope to offer insights and practical ideas that will enhance the overall soccer experience for players, coaches, and fans of the game.”

Williams begins her position on the Board with immediate effect.
