OSA x MOJO: New Partnership Gives Free Practice Resources & Materials to Parent/Volunteer Coaches

MAINEVILLE, Ohio (February 10, 2022) – Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with MOJO, a mobile app designed to help make coaching easy.

MOJO’s mission is to bring magic to youth sports and improve the grassroots soccer experience with easy-to-use technology and world-class educational content developed by top coaches, experts, and elite athletes. MOJO was the winner of last year’s Webby Award for best app in all of sports, and allows volunteer sports coaches to plan fun, age-appropriate practices and experiences for youth sports teams with a single click of a button.

“We’re delighted to partner with Ohio Soccer Association to support all of their volunteer coaches, who are entrusted to inspire a love of the game in their young players,” said Tom Arnett, Chief Customer Officer of MOJO. “This State has such a rich soccer tradition and thriving volunteer community, and Ohio Soccer Association is laser-focused on providing the best possible playing experience for families throughout the State. We’re excited to help make sure that grassroots soccer in Ohio is fun, inclusive, and meaningful for all involved.”

This new OSA member benefit is packed with hundreds of practice plans, tips, activities, videos, and extras for coaches and players at all levels of experience. Through the partnership with MOJO, all coaches in Ohio receive access to the app, including free digital content, video lesson plans for the entire season designed by Ohio Soccer Association’s professional coaches and educators, and technology features that tailor practice plans to a team’s specific needs. More than 80% of coaches using MOJO say the app makes coaching easier, less stressful, and more enjoyable.

“We are thrilled to take a major step in helping OSA provide more game to our members by investing in MOJO, especially those in our grassroots community,” said Gordon Henderson, OSA Chief Executive Officer. “Our goal is to support leagues and clubs in their local environment. Easy access to quality coaching resources is a major need. The complete seasonal support that grassroots coaches will receive by utilizing MOJO will be a great resource, and we are excited to see the positive impact that this will have within our grassroots leagues and clubs.”

The partnership is effective immediately, ahead of the Spring 2022 season. MOJO will attend and present at the OSA Workshop on February 12, 2022, in Columbus (Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center).

Coaches and families can download the MOJO app via Google Play or the App Store. No code necessary.
